



· Upon AIR BUSAN’s limited liability on the checked baggage,
if application of the Warsaw Convention is effected, maximum compensation for
lost or damaged baggage is 250 France (US$20) per 1kg/2lbs (or the equivalent).
If application of the Montreal Convention is effected, each passenger is entitled to
1,000 SDR (special drawing rights).
Exceptionally, if a larger value has been finalized and Ad Valorem duties paid beforehand,
AIR BUSAN is responsible for compensation of the reported value.
| Damage to baggage should be notified within 7 days from the date it was received. Upon delay or loss of baggage, passenger should notify the airline by a written form within 21 days from the date it was checked in. |
However, the following cases, depending on destinations,
will be excluded from or limited in the compensation in accordance with the terms of carriage.
- In the event where the company can prove that it has taken necessary actions to prevent the damage,
or it could take no action due to uncontrollable reasons.
- In the event where the damage was caused by the customers
- Damaged from over-weight or over-packing (including contents associated with damages and loss)
- Locks broken in the process of security check or film damaged by the X-ray during the process of security check
- Wear and tear which include minor scratches, stains, or the wheel / handle / lock broken,
or strap that may occur during the course of routine handling.
- Loss of additional accessories
- Prohibited items as checked baggage and items that must be carried on board as the following
*Fragile items, perishable goods, or musical instruments not in the hard case
*Expensive personal electronic devices or data such as health-related medicines, notebook computers,
cell phones, camcorders, MP3 etc.
*Precious objects difficult to determinate such as cash, jewels or precious metals, securities, contracts,
documents, passports, ID cards, samples, and valuable antiques.

· Limited liability of the checked baggage is USD 20 / kg or 1,000 SDR per each passenger depending
on an applicable Convention for the passenger’s flight.
· However, if a larger value has been finalized and Ad Valorem duties paid beforehand, the compensation
matches the reported value. If the excess baggage fare has been paid, the compensation depends on the
weight paid by the fare.

1.Loss and stolen
- AIR BUSAN’s responsibility for the accident of checked baggage is USD 20/kg or 1,000 SDR per each
passenger depending on the pursuant to the Convention.
However, if a larger value has been finalized and Ad Valorem duties paid beforehand, the compensation
matches the reported value. If the excess baggage fare has been paid, the compensation depends on the
weight paid by the fare.
- Lower compensation shall be paid between the amounts by weight (USD 20/kg) and the actual damage.
- Weight written on the passenger’s ticket shall be used for the compensation, or the recorded weight on the
Bag Tag shall be used for the compensation if the tag is Auto Bag Tag.
- If there is no weight written on the ticket or impossible to calculate the weight due to loss of baggage,
the weight shall be calculated based on passenger’s declaration form in accordance with the Table of Weight
established by IATA.
- Partial loss shall be paid the lower between the amounts by the weight, which is calculated by deducting the
delivered baggage weight from the actual stolen baggage weight, and the amounts of compensation claim.
2.Breakage and damage
· Repair
Repairs and Wet damage will be reimbursed based on receipts.
- Cash compensation
If it is impossible to repair baggage, you will be paid in cash or compensated with new replacement within
the value of price which is calculated by deducting the annual depreciation amount
(deducted by 10% per year) from the original purchase price.
- Upon the compensation for broken and damaged baggage, limited liability will be applied in accordance with
the contracted Convention.
· Delay
- Upon the passenger’s request, if the baggage is delayed, he/she shall be paid Daily Necessity Fee once.
However, it will be exceptional if the baggage delivery delay is caused by replaced baggage with other
passengers. Paid Daily Necessity Fee shall be deducted from the total compensation if baggage is proved to
be lost or stolen.
- It may be refused to pay Daily Necessity Fee if the passenger is the resident at the arrival.
